Tim checked in for the Californian out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing. Just giving you an update on our half-day trip today. We had kind of funky conditions today. Fishing was kind of tough with a lot of guys. But we ended up getting close to 250 rockfish. I don't know, more than a dozen whitefish, a couple lingcod. A lot of people, a lot of tangles, a lot of current. But today was a special one.

But we do have room this week if you guys want to jump aboard. Island Spirit's got plenty of people and plenty of room for you guys to come aboard. So make a reservation. Come out and see us. Tim checked in for the Island Spirit out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing. We had a light-loaded day, 17 anglers. We ended up getting our cods done, finished up on our rockfish, had a few sculpin. We had a few whitefish, and we ended up going in the shallows. We had a little bit of bait, and we went and captured a halibut for our day. So, nice weather in the morning, a little breeze in the afternoon, but not bad. Tim has the current fish report for you below.

We got limits of rockfish for our 26 anglers, 84 whitefish, 14 sculpin, 4 sheephead, and 1 lingcod. It as a really nice day on the water with great weather. Cody checked in from the Island Spirit out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing with a wrap-up report from their full-day trip. They spent much of the morning searching for white seabass but couldn’t get a bite. The rest of the day was spent bottom fishing, and everyone caught fish to take home. For 18 anglers, the catch included 83 Rockfish, 17 Whitefish, 11 Sculpin, and 1 Lingcod.

 They’re heading out again tomorrow with plenty of open spots and expect fishing to improve after the recent weather.
