Everyones having a great time and great time shallow water fishing, and a nice red just came over the rail. We're catching reds, whitefish, all kinds of assorted rockfish. Daniel checked in for the Island Spirit out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing. We are chartered tomorrow but we have our halibut special on Friday. That trips is a definite go. We will be doing a "halibut or bust" kind of trip, just targeting halibut all day long. We will be leaving at 7am for the halibut trip. We also have plenty of space Saturday and Sunday. The weather looks like it will be beautiful and we are doing "kids fish free Sunday." We also have our lincod specials on Monday. There is really really beautiful weather up ahead. Daniel checked in for the Island Spirit out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing. We're still fishing currently out on our Sunday 1/2-day. We had really good fishing today, we'll call in later with a final count. Nice quality reds, lingcod, bass, whitefish, a bunch of good stuff! We wanted to tell you guys we added a Lingcod Special on Monday for the next month and a Halibut Special on Friday. These trips will depart an hour earlier than normal, boat departs 7 am and returns 5 pm. Fishing is good, we'll check back later. Daniel has the latest fish report for you below.

Daniel checked in for the Island Spirit out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing. We got out with 28 passengers and spent the first part of our day looking for seabass. We saw some fish and hooked and lost one unfortunately. Then we switched gears and went shallow water rockfishing the rest of the day. We had outstanding quality and a lot of lingcod. Our final fish count was 194 rockfish, 44 whitefish, 22 legal lingcod, a lot more shorts lingcod, and a few sculpin as well. Things are shapping up well out here. Fishing is good. Daniel checked in for the Island Spirit out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing. On our way in from a 1/2 day trip here. It was a little bit slower today. We didn't light the world on fire, but still came out pretty decent. We had 34 passengers and caught 207 rockfish and 47 whitefish. We had a lot of current and it got pretty windy for some of the day, but we still made a day out of it. Daniel has the latest fish report for you below.

Daniel checking in from the Island Spirit out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing. We're on our way in from our 1/2 day trip. We had 36 passengers today for "Kids Fish Free Sunday." We ended up with 287 rockfish, 78 whitefish, 11 sculpin, 2 sheephead, a cabazon, and a nice halibut to round out our day there. The fish was all nice quality. Kept it relatively shallow for the kids.
